Tang Studio has been hired as the flood mitigation consultant for a new project in East Rockaway—a new 10-story, 300,000 SF affordable mixed-use development, designed by FX Collaborative and developed by L&M Development Partners. The proposed design focuses on devising a comprehensive flood mitigation strategy, which ingeniously combines wet and dry floodproofing measures. This entails substantial regrading of the site as a proactive approach to address the pressing concern of future sea-level rise.
